Dear Julia,
I was developing my research agenda in the past few weeks, thinking about it day and night. Then, one night in a dream, the answers to “what is true love?” and “Is there such a thing as forever love?” struck me.
I realized: if you find yourself falling in love with something, someone, or some being, over and over again through time, then that is true love.
When the number of times you fall in love approaches infinity, and the time interval between those moments approaches zero, it converges to forever love.
I’ve faced many obstacles over the past few years, yet I still find myself on the path I initially chose. So much has changed, but I remain as fearless and curious as ever.
I once spent so much time wondering about the meaning of life. Now I see that life itself may be meaningless, but experience is real. The day ten years from now is no more valuable than today.
The present is eternal. My heart lives no where, and thus may wander anywhere.
Best wishes,
Xinyue
